Couleur Café 2010 – Staff Benda Bilili
Waow ! A true revelation for me, if I had to keep only one concert in the past year or so it would certainly be this one.
Amazing performance, joyful, soulful, sharing, inspired, they give it all on stage. THIS is what music should be, no more, no less, period.
From their official bio:
“Staff Benda Bilili consider themselves as the real journalists of Kinshasa, as their songs document and comment events of everyday life. One of their key messages is: the only real handicaps are not in the body but in the mind.
Benda Bilili means look beyond appearances – literally: put forward what is hidden”
