Waow ! A true revelation for me, if I had to keep only one concert in the past year or so it would certainly be this one.

Amazing performance, joyful, soulful, sharing, inspired, they give it all on stage. THIS is what music should be, no more, no less, period.

One of my favorite concert at Couleur Café : Baloji.

As soon as I heard the first notes of his new album, Kinshasa Succursale, I was on a trip, recorded with a mobile studio in Kinshasa, with homebrew rappers, musicians and appearance of konono, kasai all stars, Zaiko Langa Langa, this is one true gem.

One of my favorite concert at Couleur Café : Baloji.

N8N Showcase

N8N – who is he ?

Nathan is hot on the block, supported by a great band (Da Romeo on bass …), he delivered a soulful showcase of 1h30 in front of a crowded AB box.

Nathan presented here is debut album but music runs in his genes, coming from a family of music lovers (Nathan Ambach, rings a bell ?) he grew up surounded by music legends such as Ray Charles, BB King as a kid and it feels.

I have to admit that I am pleased, aside from the music, he’s very visual, and it is a true pleasure as many artists seem to disregard that aspect more and more.

Waw ! That’s how it feels when you find yourself so close to a true legend, your eye in the lens.

Gils Scott-Heron, the poet, the musician, his voice getting even better with the years and yet a band so humble.

The cheer joy of sharing the music.

I had to choose one night from the Nuits Botanique and I think I honestly made the right choice.

Gil’s new album “I’m New Here” is out now.

It is not everyday that you get so lucky, shooting a true legend and assisting to such a perfect performance !

Dee Dee Bridgewater is just true to the art, a soulful voice, the joy spread on stage, the game with the musicians, the sound, the light, total respect for the audience, a good lesson for many and a pure moment of joy, Jazz at it’s best.
